Artists, residents and entrepreneurs are uniting to work on an 15' x 30' AIDS-awareness mural, "Austin Is Doing Something ( A.I.D.S. ) ." The mural is scheduled to be unveiled during a ceremony Saturday, May 22, at Mayfield and Chicago, 12-4 p.m.
"Austin" was inspired by With Me Comes A Cure, an awareness campaign by the AIDS Foundation of Chicago designed primarily to address the growing HIV epidemic among African Americans and stress the importance of developing an AIDS vaccine.
