Pediatric AIDS Chicago Prevention Initiative Executive Board Chair Dr. Patricia Garcia, MD, MPH, has been appointed to the Presidential Advisory Council on HIV/AIDS ( PACHA ) .
Garcia is joining the 24-member council of HIV/AIDS experts made up of a diverse group of researchers, service providers and community leaders from around the country. Among other things, PACHA provides advice, information and recommendations to the president through the secretary of health and human services on domestic and global HIV/AIDS policy issues.
